Cloud Migration

Move to AWS without downtime.

Migrate production workloads from GCP, Azure, or on-prem — databases replicated in real time, cutovers scripted, traffic shifted without a maintenance window.

Where you are today

GCP, Azure, on-prem — we've delivered all three.

You're on GCP and...

Hidden costs, rate limits throttling AI workloads, or customers and contracts pointing at AWS. Whatever the trigger, we start with assessment and translate from GCP esoteric services to a target architecture that lets you scale your business.

10-week GCP → AWS migration for an HPC workload

You're on Azure and...

Compute and GPU capacity hitting a ceiling on the ML workload, support contracts running out, or Azure being the outlier in a multi-cloud stack. Whatever the trigger, we plan the migration, move data without downtime, and replatform onto AWS — production stays up through cutover.

150M files migrated in one week — 50% faster than expected

You're running on-prem and...

A small IT team trying to keep up with growth, manual DR and deployment runbooks adding up, or the recognition that lift-and-shift alone won't fix the architecture. Whatever the trigger, we plan the migration as the modernization moment — data moved without downtime, architecture fixed as we go, production stays up through cutover.

10-week on-prem → AWS migration with zero unplanned downtime

Migration Program

The AWS Migration Acceleration Program.

A comprehensive AWS program built on thousands of enterprise migrations — and what it could mean for your move.

The Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) is AWS's comprehensive, proven cloud migration program — built on the experience of migrating thousands of enterprise customers. It runs on a three-phase framework (Assess, Mobilize, Migrate & Modernize) and gives you tools, training, partner expertise, and a Well-Architected landing zone to build on once you're live.

MAP may also provide AWS funding to offset the initial cost of the migration, along with credits that apply once workloads are running on AWS. Our role: review your workload, prepare the architecture documentation and cost model, assemble the MAP application, and work with AWS through their review. On many of the migrations we've delivered, customers ended up with parts or all of the cost offset, plus credits when they cut over.

Funding eligibility, program fit, and amounts are determined by AWS based on their review of your workload — not by us. We can't promise an outcome, but we can prepare the strongest possible case and help you navigate the program.

GCP → AWS HPC

From GCP to a Production AWS HPC Platform in 10 Weeks

A chip-design company moved its compute-intensive EDA platform from GCP to AWS — full migration delivered in ten weeks on AWS ParallelCluster with FSx for high-performance storage. The environment lives as IaC, with AWS funding programs in play where the workload qualifies.

Polymath Services helped us to get up to speed quickly on AWS and enabled us to migrate our solution from a monolithic architecture on-premise to serverless/microservice architecture. They were well versed in various languages and frameworks (eg, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, DynamoDB, docker, etc). They finished the project in a timely manner, with competent documentation, and within budget. I would definitely recommend them to any startup looking to grow quickly and efficiently.

The MAP Framework

Assess, Mobilize, Migrate and Modernize.

AWS's proven three-phase migration framework, applied end to end.

1
Assess

Migration readiness assessment across the six dimensions of the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework — business, process, people, platform, operations, security. Inventory workloads, map dependencies, baseline costs, and build the TCO model. Pick the right strategy per workload: rehost, replatform, refactor, or retire.

2
Mobilize

Build the operational foundation. AWS Control Tower for multi-account governance, a Well-Architected landing zone, network connectivity, identity, security baselines, observability. Pilot migrations validate the approach before anything production moves.

3
Migrate

Execute in waves — databases with DMS, applications with the right compute primitive, data via the fastest safe path. Each wave ships with rollback, monitoring, and validation before the next starts.

4
Modernize

Refactor toward AWS-managed services, tune performance, rightsize compute, add tagging and budget guardrails. Hand over runbooks, or stay on with us for managed operations — your call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Security and compliance are integral to every migration we perform. At Polymath Services, we follow best practices and proven frameworks to protect your systems and data. Here’s how we ensure your migration meets the highest standards:

  1. Adherence to AWS Well-Architected Principles We build your cloud environment according to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, with a specific focus on the security pillar. This ensures that your workloads are protected against evolving threats.

  2. Least-Privilege Access
To minimize risks, we implement the principle of least-privilege access. Only the users and systems that absolutely need access to resources are granted permissions, reducing the potential for unauthorized access.

  3. Guided Migration Options
For businesses with strict compliance or operational requirements, we offer guided migration options. Your team performs the migration with our expert guidance, keeping full control over production data and ensuring internal policies are upheld.

  4. Post-Migration Compliance
After migration, we assist in configuring ongoing compliance checks and monitoring using AWS tools like AWS Config and Security Hub. This ensures your environment remains secure and aligned with industry regulations.

At Polymath Services, we empower you to operate confidently in the cloud, ensuring you can take full control of your environment if that’s your preference. Here’s how we make that possible:

  1. Adherence to Industry Standards
All solutions we design adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework and other industry best practices. This ensures your environment is reliable, secure, and optimized for long-term success.

  2. Full Automation
Everything we build is fully automated using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This approach not only increases efficiency but also ensures every change is auditable and reproducible.

  3. Comprehensive Documentation and Replicability
We provide detailed documentation for everything we deploy. Combined with automation, this allows you to replicate or modify the environment independently whenever needed.

  4. Guided Deployments to Production
For organizations preferring to maintain full control, we offer the option to deploy production environments with our guidance and monitoring. This involves:

    • Building and testing your environment in a secure test setup.
    • Allowing your team to execute the production deployment while we provide expert oversight.
    • Avoiding any direct access to your production environment, if desired, for added security.

We offer this if you need take full control, and want to go at it alone after we migrate you. However, if still need us, we’re here to support you fully from start to finish. For ongoing needs, we also offer Managed Cloud and Managed Teams to ensure your cloud infrastructure continues to run smoothly and efficiently over the long term.

At Polymath Services, we follow a structured and efficient approach to ensure your migration is seamless and aligned with your business goals. Here’s a high-level overview:

  1. Assessment
We start by evaluating your current IT environment and identifying the best strategy for your workloads. This includes analyzing dependencies, assessing risks, and estimating costs and ROI.

  2. Planning and Execution
Once we understand your environment, we create a clear migration plan to minimize downtime. Using AWS tools like the Application Migration Service, we transfer your workloads securely and efficiently.

  3. Testing and Go-Live
After migration, we perform rigorous testing to ensure your systems function as expected. We then coordinate a smooth go-live process, ensuring minimal disruption to your operations.

  4. Ongoing Support
Post-migration, we provide short-term stabilization support and offer managed services to help you optimize your AWS environment. Learn about our long-term support options on our Managed Cloud page.

Polymath Services ensures a seamless migration process. We use a phased approach tailored to your business needs, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity during the transition.
